Terry Fox Run 2019

On Thursday, September 26th, 2019, students in Grades JK to 8 will be taking part in The Terry Fox National School Walk Day (rain date: Fri., Sept. 27th).

Many people have a connection to someone who has cancer so the run can serve as a personal dedication to a friend or relative, as well as necessary fundraising. If your child is in JK to Grade 4, they will be coming home with a form. Please include the name of a friend or relative you would like to dedicate the walk to. Their name will be written on a memorial sticker “Terry ran for me. I am running for… ” sticker, that will be worn on the day of our walk. At school, students will have the opportunity to hear about the heroic efforts of Terry and raise much needed funds for cancer research. All monies raised will be forwarded to The Terry Fox Foundation.

Our school Terry Fox Challenge is to raise a ‘Toonie for Terry’ from each student.

Any donation amount is greatly appreciated! All students will participate in the activity regardless of donation. Please do not send cash donations to the school as we no longer accept cash/cheques in the office.
If you choose to donate online, please go to: http://www.terryfox.ca/StAugustineCESCambridge

The site is secure and receipts are sent to your email address when you have completed a credit card donation. Let’s make a difference!!

We are very pleased to be a part of this year’s Terry Fox Event as we encourage our students to develop a sense of volunteerism and goodwill, while celebrating school spirit. Students are encouraged to wear their school Spiritwear or black and/or maroon. Thank you in advance for your support!

Please note: this year, our students will run around our school property at a designated time throughout the morning, as part of their Daily Personal Activity time (DPA).
