Hey St. Augustine Storm Community – thanks for an Awesome 2018-2019 school year!

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to our graduated Grade 8 students as they head off to High School.  We are so proud of them and wish them the best at their new school.

Here is some important information about the upcoming year:

  • School starts next year on September 3rd.  Please come to our yard on September 3rd and find your teacher!  We will enter with the bell at 8:45 am and begin our day!
  • All of your “First Day Package” paperwork will be available via School Cash Online starting August 28th.  Please take some time to complete all the necessary paperwork.
  • Sneak Peek will be held on Wednesday August 28th at the school. This is an opportunity for you to pop by the school and pick up your child’s first day package and find out who your child’s teacher will be for the upcoming school year.  The school will be open to parents between 10am and 4pm.

Student Transportation Services of Waterloo Region (STSWR):

  1. Transportation details for the 2019-2020 school year will be available on Monday, August 26, 2019. Parents can login and view your child’s transportation details by going to www.stswr.ca and follow these easy steps:
  2. Click on “Student Login”
  3. Enter your child’s Ontario Education Number (OEN) found on your child’s report card (numbers only, no spaces or dash)
  4. Enter your child’s birth date
  5. Enter your child’s street number (house number only)
  6. Select “St. Augustine” from the drop down menu

Please note that any address changes need to be done through your school.  If you are moving this summer or you are changing caregiver arrangements for the fall, you should communicate the change to the school before the end of the 20198-2019 school year.  The office closes on July 4th.

Umbrella Project:

We will be starting a new program at St. Augustine School called the UMBRELLA PROJECT.  It is a character developmental program which teaches our students to build resiliency and build on their skills so that they are able to handle life’s inevitable “storm”.  Stay tune for more information and home resources once the new school year begins.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the main office. Have a great summer!  We look forward to seeing all of you and hearing about your summer stories in September!

Enjoy the summer St. Augustine Storm Community ….Thanks for a great year!
