Mission Day

**Friday, May 5, 2017**

On Friday, May 5, we will be hosting our annual Mission Day. This has been a very successful event in the past and with your help we hope it will be even bigger and better this year. Mission Day is an opportunity for our students and school community to extend our help to local, national and global needs- helping with clean water and education.

Mission Day will begin at 12:30 and end at 2:30. There will be a number of activities for the students to participate in; some may include: cake walk, root beer floats, hockey shoot out, nail painting, tattoo parlor, candy sale, and more. There will even be a movie room if your child would like some place to relax.

Attached you will find information for the various events that are planned for the afternoon. You will be able to see from the list the number of tickets needed for the various activities that your child would like to participate in as well as any donations items that would be appreciated. Tickets will be 25 cents each and we strongly suggest that students purchase their tickets in advance of Mission Day.

Tickets are on sale NOW using School Cash Online. You can also bring money to school starting Monday April 24th until Thursday May 4th. to purchase tickets. The tickets will remain at school and in a file with the classroom teacher that way none get lost. Each classroom teacher will hand out their students’ tickets the afternoon of Mission Day.

In order for our Mission day to be a success we need your support. The classroom teacher for each event has indicated on their activity the type of donations they are looking for.

We asked that cakes be brought to school in the morning of May 5th. No peanut products please!

We invite all parents/grandparents, guardians and younger family members to come and join us on Mission Day.

The students and staff thank you for supporting your St. Augustine community in our work to help others.
