Good morning, St. Augustine Storm on this rainy last Monday of the school year!

We have had many new families join us this year and we have bid farewell to a few others. It has been a wonderful year of learning, laughing and playing.  Let’s make this the best last week of school!

It takes a Village…

We would like to say thank you to our parents who support the work we do at St. Augustine and for entrusting your precious children to us. Thank you for having amazing children and sharing them with us.

Thank you to the St. Augustine staff. Every day you put the needs and the well-being of the students in your care above your own. You coached, you ran clubs, you embraced field trips, and every other thing that made coming to school exciting and engaging. Thank you for your continued dedication and commitment!

A special thank you to Mrs. Hickman who answers the phone every day and checks up on students who are absent to make sure they are safe. She provides Band-Aids, ice and lots of laughs to those in need. We couldn’t get through the year without her.

Thank you to Ms. McPhee who looks after our library and Chromebooks so well. She is always a friendly face who greets us when we walk into the Learning Commons.

Thank you to Mr. Robertson for his years of service as our Music Teacher. Mr. Robertson is retiring and tomorrow will be his last day with us. We wish him all the best on his new path in life!

Thank you to the Catholic School Council. Your dedication to this school and the families you represent is unwavering. We look forward to all the amazing ways you will support this community next year!

Thank you to our AWESOME students. We want you to know how proud we are of all your accomplishments. You have worked so hard and showed such resiliency and determination through this year. You motivated the staff every day to be better and to embrace each day with joy and hope! THANK YOU!

Lastly a special thank you to our Grade 8 Graduates of 2023. For many of you this school has been home for the last 10 years. As you take this next big leap, please remember that you hold a special place in the hearts of all of us at St. Augustine School. You are amazing students, and it has been a pleasure to watch you grow. We wish you much success as you begin your journey through secondary school. May God bless and guide you always!

Farewells and Good Luck

The end of the school year inevitably means saying farewell to both some of our staff and students. Sincere gratitude goes out to some of our staff who have journeyed alongside us this year and will unfortunately for us, be finishing their time at St. Augustine School.

·Ms. Rachel Sothern – Grade 1

Ms. Amy Spirito – Grade 4/5

Ms. Abigayle Richardson – Kindergarten

Ms. Onastazia Baljak – Grade 3

We thank all of them for their hard work, dedication, and support during their time at St. Augustine School. You will all be truly missed and wish you all the best in your new school communities!

Bus Transportation

STSWR continues to work on route planning and bussing assignments for the 2023-2024 school year and this will continue through out the summer. If you are a parent of bussed students please be sure to check your child’s bussing details on the transportation website on or after Monday, August 21, 2023. If you already have an account, you will just simply need to login to find this information. If you do not have an account, you will need to create an account, using your child’s OEN # to access their information which you can obtain off their report card. Please Note: JK and some SK students new to schooling will not have an OEN and these new students will receive mailed route information in mid-August.
